Season 3 of the Weekly Coin Cup starts Monday
Three games, seven days, 10,000 coins on the line. Here’s how to enter, what’s changed, and why we’re adding a Friendly Fire bracket.
The third season of our Weekly Coin Cup kicks off Monday 05:00 UTC. As always, the format is simple: one qualifying round on each of 2048 Classic, Snake Rush and Candy Match 3, with your best three scores combined into a seasonal ladder.
What’s new this season
We’ve split entrants into two brackets. The main bracket is scored on raw points and pays out the full 10,000-coin prize pool to the top 50 finishers. The Friendly Fire bracket is unrated — leaderboards are visible to friends you’ve added, but nothing feeds back into the seasonal ranking. It’s designed for casual players who wanted to play along without feeling the pressure of the global ladder.
We’ve also tightened the anti-cheat pass. Runs with impossible input timing are now soft-flagged for review, and reviewed-and-rejected runs get a short-form audit visible on your public profile — we want transparency on this kind of thing, not a black box.
Sign-up is free and open to anyone with a registered account. See you on the ladder.
